Castle Porter Real Estate and Pike Porter help people relocating to Chittenden County and Burlington find homes and condos, and he is looking forward to helping you.
Pike Porter began Castle Porter Real Estate to streamline the real estate transaction, eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and save everyone—buyers, sellers, agents—time and money.
A socially responsible real estate company, Castle Porter Real Estate embraces technological efficiency and avoids outdated marketing methods and unnecessary overhead in order to reduce costs to sellers, provide financial incentives to buyers, offer superior commissions to its agents, and provide charitable gifts to local not-for-profit organizations. Castle Porter Real Estate is the real estate agency Vermonters turn to when looking for the single most professional, cost effective, and socially responsible real estate agency in Vermont.
The real estate market has changed but most big-box agencies haven’t. The Internet has transformed the way real estate is sold, yet typical real estate business models haven’t kept pace.
Sellers want a real estate transaction that meets all of their needs: smooth, hassle-free transition to their next home, maximized profit, minimal time on market, and peace of mind. Castle Porter Real Estate eliminates the fat from the transaction and emphasizes that which sellers really want.
When you list with Castle Porter Real Estate you get:

- Pawned off on a “team member,” “buyer specialist,” or “listing associate” you’ve never met
- Exaggerated house valuations
- You won’t get excuses
The most famous castle porter can be found in the pages of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. We believe you’ll find our customer service a bit better than his.
About Realtor Pike Porter
Before earning his brokers license and starting Castle Porter Real Estate, Pike was a top agent for the Century 21 franchise for all of Northern New England. While working for one of the largest agencies in Vermont, he found that by far and away the single most effective marketing is on the Internet and the multiple listing service (MLS). He found that much time and effort by the larger agencies was wasted on ineffective marketing tools and unnecessary overhead.
Burlington resident and real estate agent Pike Porter is an award-winning, multi-million dollar producing broker working in Chittenden County. He is a member of Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility, the Vermont Apartment Owners Association, the National Board of Realtors, the Vermont Board of Realtors, the Northern New England Real Estate Network, and the Northwestern Vermont Board of Realtors where he has chaired of the Government Affairs Committee. As a former college instructor at the University of Vermont, Johnson State College, and the Community College of Vermont, he strongly believes that successful and mutually beneficial Vermont real estate transactions begin with well informed buyers and sellers. To that end, he strives to provide all necessary and supplementary information in a clear and orderly manner. As a long-time resident of Burlington who has owned investment properties in Burlington, Winooski, and Middlebury, Pike’s knowledge of the neighborhoods, city ordinances, and code enforcement and zoning regulations can help make your real estate transaction a successful one. He is one of a handful of Realtors in Chittenden County with a Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) certification from the National Association of Realtors, and one of only a handful of agents in Vermont certified to sell HUD homes. In 1993 British Beer writer Roger Protz named Pike Porter as “the finest in America.”
When Pike is not helping people buy and sell homes, you might find him kicking around in a pick-up soccer game or feeling his age against UVM college students in an Ultimate game, puttering in his workshop, getting dirty at the pottery co-op, enjoying a meal with friends, at the Starr Farm Dog Park, and generally living a simple life. If you’re new in town, or even if you’re not, join Pike at one of his dining club’s events.
