One of the newer sections of Burlington, most of the New North End homes were built in the 1950′s and 60′s. In contrast, much of Burlington’s Old North End is over one-hundred years old. Many of the best home values in Burlington are found in the New North End; first-time home buyers can buy a ranch home for under $200,000. The area also has several luxury communities and luxury homes and condo developments on Lake Champlain’s waterfront. The area is close to the bike path, several parks and beaches, and the Starr Farm Dog Park. On North Avenue, the New North End’s main thoroughfare, residents will find a major supermarket, banks, restaurants, and shops, making the New North End a self-contained neighborhood.
